Following up on Art Edwards' post from last weekend, I went out to Shadow
Cliffs this afternoon and easily found the Red-necked Grebe diving just outside
the ropes at the swimming area. If fact, in just one sweep of my scope I was
able to see Red-necked, Western, Clark's, Eared, Horned (1), and Pied-billed
Grebes, all at the north end of the lake.
One Cackling Goose continued with a large flock of Canada Geese on the lawn
near the boat rental pier.
Good birding,
Kathy Robertson
