Hi Birders.
On Saturday I ran into a Golden-crowned Sparrow that had a bright white
throat (and did not otherwise look any different than an ordinary
Golden-crown).
In their photographic guide, Beadle and Rising say that only one specimen of
a Golden-crowned x White-throated Sparrow exists, so I'm not sure what to
make of the bird I saw.
Any ideas?
If anyone is interested in looking for this bird, please let me know and
I'll give you exact directions. I saw it on the Chabot-Garin trail, which I
accessed from Columbia Dr./Bellhurst Ln. off Cull Canyon Rd.
Good birding,
Emily Serkin
