I saw a Great-tailed Grackle in Martinez this afternoon, just before the =
on-ramp to 680 North along the road that comes out of Martinez on the =
north side, and goes through all the pipelines and then goes under the =
Benicia Bridge. The bird was on the east side of the bridge, between =
underpass and the on-ramp. Kind of an industrial area. It was sitting on =
a sign post right along the road. There were some cars parked there, =
presumably for the construction crews of the new bridge (orange cones =
separated this pull-off area from the road). I was able to pull off and =
observe it for some time.
