I have been seeing varied thrushes in Huck for the past several weeks. I
love the way they seem to melt into the trees, now and again rewarding
me with one of their soft "chooks". Post-rain, the mosses have sprung
back, and the ground is littered with mushrooms, including my favorites,
amanitas. With eagles perched on the com tower, and amanitas on the
    ground, it's all good.
