Hi Birders,
Late Friday afternoon (11/25), I found a tan-morph WHITE-THROATED SPARROW in
a large flock of White- and Golden-crowned Sparrows at Shadow Cliffs Regional
Park in Pleasanton. They were feeding along the edges of the gravel road next
to the hill where the water slide is located. For the last several years,
I've scanned the wintering sparrow flocks there hoping for just that species, so
I was quite happy to finally find one. Now if I can just turn up a
Harris's...
