I=B9ve been seeing a gull at Lake Merritt the past week that I can=B9t ID. I=
t is
a large gull (size of adult Western Gull) with grey primaries, white tail,
and pink legs. I snapped a few photos:

It looks similar to a Glaucous-winged Gull but the head and neck markings
seem rather dark.
Is it a Glaucous-winged? A hybrid?
I saw 3 male Barrow=B9s Goldeneye earlier in the week around the islands but
none today. No Common or Barrow=B9s Goldeneye near the 12th St. inlet yet, b=
ut
there were about a dozen pairs of Bufflehead around the islands. Also a
nicely posed Belted Kingfisher in a tree on an island.
