Yes, Lewis's Woodpeckers continue at Los Vaqueros this
afternoon (10/14/05). One was visible in the tree at
the Interpretive Center.
Many more were easily seen at the junction of Vista
Grande Trail and Crest Trail (#14 and #13 on their
map).

About a dozen were in the air, looking like big
swallows. (they take insects on the wing).

Golden Eagle
White Pelican
Dbl Crested Cormorant
Golden Crowned Sparrow
Crow
Meadowlark
Scrub Jay
Acorn Woodpecker
Prairie Falcon
Red Tail Hawk
