A lot of birds on the move through my yard in the lower Oakland Hills in
Glenview. In the last 24 hour period I counted 26 species. Best ones were very
high flying flocks of violet-green swallows, female black-throated gray warbler,
arrival of starlings massing with robins, flicker, redtail, barn owl, and the
usual suspects. Last year's big day on Oct. 2 netted 27 species.
Good Birding.
