    Birders,

I'm sure Marcy and I are seeing the same White-tailed Kites. They are
usually near the (not very) greenbelt connecting Norris Canyon Rd and
Mesa Vista Dr. Though there is likely only one family of kites in the
area, this is apparently at least the second brood of the year, as
Skip and I saw a pair of recently fledged kites about a block away 2
or 3 months ago. We witnessed what was presumably the same pair of
adults copulating back in February. We also saw a kite carrying
nesting material and one adult giving a mouse to another adult. They
seem to be a very prolific and successful pair of kites.
