Ok, heres my first post. I took a trip out to the dump today, in hopes
of my first phalarope. Disappointment there, but:
A tern, who sat proudly on a piling for me to view at length. My
opinion, a Forster's, but he seemed to have a more yellow than orange
bill, no white forehead, but his head was 'speckled' with white.
A Northern Harrier
Marbled Godwits
Two Long-billed Curlews
A few Black necked Stilts, which should be called red legged stilts.
A dozen Avocets
Two or three Ruddy Turnstones
Two Black Turnstones
A Black Bellied Plover in easy to recognize plumage
Where are the Phalaropes? Past Sulphur Creek? On the Bay side or slough
side of the trail?
