Birders,
We counted 58 SWAINSON'S HAWKS from the shoulder of Lindemann Rd at
noon today (7/1/05) including two dozen in a low kettle directly over
the road. We saw half a dozen LOGGERHEAD SHRIKES and one more
Swainson's Hawk from Herdlyn Rd. On our return pass along Lindemann
there were many fewer hawks, but a few minutes later in a field beside
West Grant Line Rd just west of its intersection with Mountain House
Parkway we counted 52 Swainson's Hawks.
