[EBB Sightings] Best time to visit Sunol Regional Wilderness?

I've been enjoying this list's digests for months now, but this is my first post. Thanks to all those who share their sightings every day! 
 
All this talk about Sunol has me really wanting to go see it for myself. Can anyone tell me their experiences there during different times of day? Left to my own devices, I'd get there when the park opens at 7am and just wander around until I needed a nap.
 
I'm especially interested in seeing the Harris's Sparrow, and I noticed that one of today's postings has it in the parking lot at 1pm. So perhaps an early morning trip isn't the best bet?
