     -->Castle Rock in WC
    the Peregrine Falcon who is nesting in this area again.  A
    Western Kingbird made a brief visit to the top of the cliffs and I
    heard a Canyon Wren near the base of these cliffs.  Lots of Cliff
    Swallows and White-throated Swifts around the cliffs. A juvenile
    Golden Eagle (who was molting his primaries), a few Red-tails and a
    Cooper's Hawk were also spotted.  Two Lark Sparrows were spotted,
    they are fairly reliable in the Picnic Area complex at the beginning
    of the trail.
    embankment for the Crimson Sage (Salvia spathacea), the only known
    East Bay locality for this beautiful plant which is now in full flower
    with thick whorls of 2 inch long red flowers.
    to Walnut Ave. and then onto Castle Rock Road (at the rotunda)
    to the end. (Do not take the earlier Walnut BLVD. which is before
    Heather Farms Park--Walnut AVE. is after this park)
