    Birders,

A pair of CASSIN'S KINGBIRDS continue at their nest in the power tower
nearest the Alameda/San Joaquin county line along Tesla/Corral Hollow
Road. When one kingbird dropped a bit of nesting material the other
caught it in mid-air and took it to the nest. A LARK SPARROW flew
    across the road nearby.

A COSTA'S HUMMINGBIRD was perched atop a tree at the entrance to Kiln
Canyon at Carnegie State Vehicular Recreation Area (CSVRA). In the
canyon we had RUFOUS-CROWNED SPARROW (including one juvenile),
    MACGILLIVRAY'S WARBLER, WILSON'S WARBLER, ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER,
HERMIT WARBLER, NASHVILLE WARBLER, RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD, ANNA'S
HUMMINGBIRD (no Calliope or Allen's), CANYON WREN, BLACK-HEADED
GROSBEAK, and ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER. We spent the better part of an
hour getting decent views of the MacGillivray's Warbler (maybe 2) that
sang from dense cover. On exiting the canyon we saw our first of
several WESTERN KINGBIRDS. Pairs of BULLOCK'S ORIOLES and WARBLING
VIREOS were at the east end of the park where we also saw another
    Costa's Hummingbird and a Wilson's Warbler.

A ROCK WREN sang from a hillside fence on the opposite side of Corral
Hollow Rd from the large rock outcropping a couple of miles east of
    CSVRA.
