Above the Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park parking lot were two Red
Shouldered Hawks displaying and being very vocal.
Best spot to view all the activity is about 200 ft. up the main trail
looking down on to the parking lot.
Further up the trail are up to three singing California Thrashers all on
the east side of the trail looking down.
Listen for the Mocking Bird type song, but look for the big bodied
    Thrasher mimicking the Mocking bird.
I have yet to see a Mocking Bird in the Ridgelands Pk.
At the summit of Pleasanton Ridge trail and where the trail cuts of to
the Ranger home was an adult male Rufous Hummingbird.
There was a flock of Band Tailed Pigeons in continued flight.
Western Blue Birds are present in reasonable volume and beautiful as
    usual.
A late note - it was a week ago today on the same trail I observed
    several Wren Tits.
Today there were no visual or singing Wren Tits.
Yesterday Saturday Dave Bowden of Dublin and I drove the Mercy Hot
Springs to search for the Long Eared Owls.
We counted 20 Long Eared Owls, after a while five of the Owls flew, so
Dave was able to see their "under wing dark wrist" band marking.
Also a Prairie Falcon did a fly by.
