Hi Alan,
I think it has just been quiet! FYI- you should be
able to see recent posting activity by checking the
current archives at the Diablo Audubon website. This
would let you see whether a lack of activity is due to
your individual email/account problem or not.
To add some belated bird sightings- saw up to four (2
male, 2 female) Purple Finches a couple of times last
week. I had them in December, but these were my first
sightings of the new year. Do other people have them
as sporadically, or are they fairly common? I haven't
seen them this week, mainly because I haven't been
home as much, and I've let the seed run out in the
feeders (probably as much because I've been too rushed
in the mornings as for the CF&G disease warning).
If other people have empty feeders, it may not bode
well for this weekends Great Backyard Bird Count...
Cheers
Alan
