I went to see the "Northern" Shrike, and although I found two shrikes near
the given location, I do not believe either to be a Northern, but both were
Loggerhead Shrikes. I also saw 3 Osprey fishing off the "Arrowhead", and
    the Merlin is still present.

In pond #1, the first on the right after the Airport Parking, was a probable
American x Eurasian Wigeon. The body was mostly the pinkish of the
American, and the white on the head also American. The bird had an
    otherwise red head.

The red where the American Wigeon is gray was not irridescent, but the red
where the American is green was irridescent. This made the red look a
    different color.

The bird was grazing at the South end of the pond, nearest the parking lot,
and was in a flock. A female appeared to be paired with him, maybe.

Also at Arrowhead were 2 American with strange patterns. One had the gray
of the face replaced with the white of the top of the head. This gave the
impression of an all white head, with the green swatch around the eye. The
second bird had a similar head, but the white faded to gray under the eye.
The two most probably have a common parent with this aberation.
