I hate to argue on-line, but many of us don't consider the Santa Cruz bird to
have been determined to be an Ash-throat. See Joe Morlan's website for the
single-focused pro Ash-throat reasoning, then go to Don Roberson's site for
the multifaceted pro Nutting's, and decide for yourself. I don't have the
addresses handy, but they're easily searchable. But you definitely get the
sense, as Mark points out, and especially from the months long ID process that Joe
documents, that Myiarchus are a tough call, even when they're not silent.
