    Good Morning

I knew I should have consulted my Sibley's before
    pushing "SEND"!

Anyway, after consulting Sibley I hereby revise my
earlier call of young Golden Eagle to young Bald Eagle
    - based on the large (huge really) grey bill and
lighter greyish tones on belly and flanks. The bird
did not have the bold white mottling depicted in
Sibleys for a second-year Bald Eagle, but it certainly
had a more distinct tonal difference between belly and
breast than the uniform dark color that Sibley shows
for a young Golden Eagle. The young Golden's white
tail-bar was not visible from the viewing position,
and the golden wash on the back of the head was not
obvious (due to backlighting as I thought at the
time). Further, of course, the bird is down in the
lowlands sitting on a tree above the lapping waters of
    the bay.

So, how does young Bald Eagle sound?

If anyone more expert than me (and such a person
shouldn't be hard to find) sees this bird, I'd be
    interested in your thoughts.

    Have a nice day.
    Cheers
    Peter
