Elionora and I spent about two hours Saturday afternoon looking for
alleged condor on 84, Andrade, Tesla, Vineyard, etc. Had a kettle of
about 20 Turkey Vultures that headed off to the north over the old nuke
facility. There was the usual roost on the high-tension towers next to
680. Did get a bunch of Red-taileds and what I think was a Golden Eagle
out at 60x scope range.

Subject: [EBB Sightings] Condor
Hi East Bay birders,
I searched unsuccessfully for about 2 hours this morning for the CA
Condor reported in Livermore. I waited until it warmed up a bit to allow
the soaring birds to get up and moving. I've never spent so much time
looking at Turkey Vulture's! I drove Cocannon, Robertson Park, Wente Rd,
Marina Rd, Veterans Hospital, Del Valle Dam, Pigeon Pass and Isabella
Ave. no sign of a condor. I did see Red-tailed Hawk, Sharp-shinned,
Coopers, Red-shoulder and a Golden Eagle. I've never seen a CA Condor
but a bird standing 47 inches tall with a wingspan of 9 feet shouldn't
be too difficult to spot.
This morning I had a flock of approx 25 Pine Siskin's at the thistle
feeder and one or two throughout the day.
