    Hello Birders,
Today, November 11, I went to Mt. Trashmore around 1:00 PM. It was a
tough day to look for Longspurs; it was raining hard, my scope kept
fogging up and getting rain drops on the lens, and I was the only person
there (no one to help me look). However, with great diligence I was
able to find one CHESTNUT-COLLARED LONGSPUR, a lifer for me. I'm sure
it was a Chestnut-collared as opposed to anything else. I studied it a
very long time. It had a pink lower mandible, grey upper mandible,
short primary projection, some very vague slight blurry streaks on the
sides, somewhat dark auricular, mostly white tail (I couldn't make out
any black t) and was just sort of pale overall. I could not find any
other Longspurs but I was very content with just this one.

    Good birding,
    Michelle D. Brodie
