[EBB Sightings] (no subject)

Hi East Bay Birders,

Took a 3 hour hike this afternoon following the rain. The area between
Veterans Park and Del Valle dam. Interesting birds where Willow
Flycatcher, Pac Slope Flycatcher, Hutton's Vireo, Western Tanager,
Yellow Warbler and FOS 50+ White-crowned Sparrow's. Really nice close up
view of Cal. Thrasher was also a treat. The fairway at Went golf course
had est. 20-30 Western Bluebirds.

Very nice fall like conditions. Also of note where 12 new Wood Duck
boxes along the creek. 

Yesterday I participated in the SFBBO Fall Challenge as a member of Phil
Gordon's team. Had a nice day with total of 79 species. The majority of
the day was spent at Sunol Regional Park. We hiked to Little Yosemite
Falls seeing along the way 8 very cooperative Rufus-crowned Sparrows,
Canyon Wren, Golden Eagle, FOS Lincoln Sparrow and Golden-crowned
Sparrow.
