    Hi all,
I have forgotten the specifics but the marsh has been drained for a
construction project that has been talked about for years. I think it involves dredging
out the channel that runs through it from north to south so that the marsh
becomes more tidal. In recent years, as Ted mentions, it has always been flooded
but this has not always been the case. It used to dry up in summer rather
than remain the lake that it has been in recent years.
I will ask Dick Bogaert at the Mt. View Sanitary Dist. if he can write
something a little more authoritative to send to the group.
