This morning at 6:35 AM just as I was hanging up the phone, a Western Tanager was calling from the Eucalyptus Tree just outside my kitchen window. When I went out to view the tanager, it had already flown north along the street, but was still calling from there.

Mike,
I don't know if this is the reason for these particular birds, but I do know that it happens.

Hi all,
Just to remind us how long some winter birds are staying this spring - I still have at least one Golden-crowned Sparrow and a White-throated Sparrow around my home in the Oakland hills.
