Jeff Miller and I did a pass though Mines road, Alameda County this
morning on our way to San Antonio Rd. Santa Clara County.
Along Mines road, all the expected bird species were seen in the
expected volumes we've grown accustom to Yellowbilled Magpies, Acorn
Wood Peckers, Anna Humming Birds, Red-tailed Hawks.
On the way up Mines Rd. we had 2 Eurasian Collared-Doves, 5 Male and
Female Phainopepla catching the morning sun on going pass the first
    bridge on mines road.
Four Golden Eagles and Four Wood Ducks made the drive well worth the
    effort.
A total of 52 species were seen in Alameda County.
Our goal was to search for and find Lewis Woodpeckers along San Antonio
    Road. Santa Clara County.
Arriving 11:45 AM in the area south of the junction with Del Puerto
Rd. we began finding the Lewis's Woodpeckers.
A total of 14 Lewis Woodpeckers were seen from the junction of Del
Puerto Rd. and San Antonio Rd to the first bridge driving south.

    Good Birding
