I had some fun obseravtions the last two days.
This morning in Strawberry Cyn, Berkeley a Red-tail hawk called from above, near the trail. Within seconds a Steller's Jay gave it's Red-tail imitation (rather weak in comparison) and then three more Jays in the area surrounding the hawk also did the imitaion call.

Two days ago a Titmouse returned to the bird box in my yard, this time with a friend. The friend went inside once then lost interest. The other one who I suspect may be the same individual from several days ago (post on Yahoo EBB) went in and out of the box several times with a safflower seed in it's beak.
In between it sat in a tree and sang, still holding on to the seed.
