[EBB Sightings] Berkeley meadow

I've been helping monitor the Burrowing Owls at the Berkeley meadow area
(between the Berkeley Marina and the freeway) since last October, and I
regularly see a pair of kites or a single kite there, and many Black-tailed
Hares in all 3 meadow areas.  I haven't seen a Short-eared Owl; I was told
by an East Bay Regional Park person that one has been sighted, but it wasn't
clear when, or if it was seen this year.
