[EBB Sightings] Lafayette Wood Ducks

This morning my wife spotted two pairs of Wood Ducks in a large Monterey Pine in our back yard which borders Las Trampas Creek.  They were sitting on a large horizontal branch about 30 feet up on a 70 foot-tall tree.

These were probably the Wood Ducks that hang out near the staging area for the Lafayette-Moraga Bike Trail that is at the corner of Pleasant Hill Road and Olympic Blvd. About a week ago there was a pair of Hooded Mergansers in the same area.  We live about 1/2 mile upstream.
