Two owls were visible today in the fenced area. ?

Earlier in the week, my birding companion witnessed this one fighting with a ground squirrel whose burrow it had apparently claimed.
 
Today, it was just pivoting its head quickly left and right giving menacing looks at any squirrel who came near.
