Can anyone tell me what common bird makes a buzzing noise? ?All I can
tell you is that the sound is very hoarse, sounds like dzzzzz, has no
variation, and lasts maybe two or three seconds - maybe. ?It's not a
jay sound, at least, not typical.

This morning, along with several dark eyed juncos, I was happy to see
    a white-crowned sparrow, a golden-crowned sparrow, and especially, a
Bewick's wren, the latter of which I finally got to observe for a
while through my binoculars. ?It looked exactly like its photos in the
books, and wagged its tail like it was supposed to. I'd only seen
glimpses of it before and thought it was a BW, and am happy to know my
id was right. ?As usual, lots of lesser goldfinches at the bird
feeder and in the oak tree, making an unholy racket.

Anyone ever see a Stellar's jay hover? We have one who hovers at the
feeder long enough to get his beak in for some seed! It's quite a
    sight.
