    Hi, Folks.
I'm thinking about driving Mines Rd tomorrow, but haven't explored that area before, let alone birded it. Any recommendations on where to look for what birds would be appreciated.
On another note, as I was in my yard watching/counting for the GABBC, I was pleased to see a red-breasted sapsucker hoping around our walnut tree. I was surprised to see it engaging in apparent "hawking" behavior. Is this something they do normally?
    Also seen:
    northern flicker (red-shafted)
    lesser goldfinch,
    oak titmouse,
    yellow-rumped warbler,
    white-crowned sparrow,
    house sparrow,
    Anna's hummingbird,
    American robin,
    mockingbird,
    scrub jay,
    California towhee,
    Canada geese,
    ruby-crowned kinglet,
    house finch,
    gull sp.
    Peace,
