Not a rare bird, but I heard my first California Thrasher of the season singing this evening near the mile 2 marker of Nimitz Way off Inspiration Point in Tilden. When I turned, it was in plain view on a bare tree. This is a good place to find to these folks, although it takes a little work to get there. About 1/4 mile beyond, I saw a Northern Harrier, which is unusual for the area.

Also heard the first spring robin song about 10 days ago, although I haven't heard it since despite many going crazy around my house.
