Hi. I tried again unsuccessfully for the Palm Warbler at Hollis-Doyle today.
Instead, I re-found the adult male Black-throated Gray, in the Heritage
Square trees and again in the trees around the nearby AmTrak station. Both
times, it was hopping around in semi-bare trees, calling loudly (seep - very
    similar to Palm).

After this, I successfully found the Palm Warbler that was thought to be
missing at Portobello Marina in Oakland. The warbler was across the parking
lot from its original place by the flagpole (where the trees had been
stripped of most of their branches), scampering on the ground and bobbing
its tail near a thick stand of pines along the waterside path. The stand of
pines is about 100 feet down the path to the right of the parking lot. There
is a prominent satellite dish directly in front of the pine trees; the
warbler was on the opposite side of the pines from the dish.
