Today around noon (somewhere near high tide) I birded Pt. Emery, which
is at the Powell Street exit on Rte.? 80.? There were a number of
    interesting birds there, including:

    4? Surfbirds
    25 Black Turnstone
    2?? Pelagic Cormorant
    1???Black Oystercatcher

as well as many of the more usual suspects.

For those of you that have not been there before, Pt. Emory often has
good birds, and it's one of those places you can bird pretty
thoroughly in 15 minutes, so it's a great quick stop.

We also?tried for the nearby Northern Waterthrush and?Black-throated
Gray Warbler that have previously been reported, but failed to find
    either.

    Robert
