This morning around 9:25 on my way to work I encountered a Palm
Warbler at the corner of 62nd & Doyle St. The bird was working the
landscaping associated with the fairly new park on the West side of
Doyle St. I watched the bird until about 9:45 as it worked its way
through the landscaped areas of the park over to the 61st St. side,
then back to the 62nd St. side, and finally left it pumping its tail
and chipping from a newly-planted tree near the play structure.

Separately, on the way into work I had my first White-winged Scoter
from the train (in almost ten years of riding) in the Hercules-Pinole
    section of the shoreline.

    Good birding,
