While doing a little birding today in Shadow Cliff Regional Park in
Pleasanton I found two pairs of Hooded Merganser's, lots of Buffleheads and
Ring-necked ducks plus the usual collection of other ducks of various types.
In addition there were three large White Pelican's located in the main body
of water which flew from time to time and were beautiful to watch with their
    large wing span.

As for the other birds, well it was just to cold out for them also and with
the exception of a few Red-tailed hawks, Anna's Hummingbirds, and a couple
of Acorn Woodpeckers not much else was spotted. Also the rain and thick fog
did not help in finding birds.
