Couldn't get out to any place decent today, but I had a good day for my
backyard in central Fremont. I saw a total of 13 species within a couple of
    hours of refilling everything.

Junco - Several started showing up in the last week or two.

    Golden-Crowned Sparrow - One

    White-Crowned Sparrow

Fox Sparrow - One came by today, FOB (First of Backyard) :)

    House Finch

Red-Breasted Nuthatch - One, which is now a regular visitor. Beautiful
    bird!

    Chestnut-Backed Chickadee

    Lesser Goldfinch

    American Goldfinch

    Mourning Dove

    Towhee

Scrub Jay - Several love the peanuts in a shell

Bewick's Wren - This was the best of the day. I had two of these today that
stuck around for a while. In the past I had seen only one infrequently.

The other birds I've seen are Nutall's Woodpecker and a Cooper's Hawk.

    Good birding!!
