Today, I spotted a little blue heron across the slough as I stood on the
fishing pier at the north most end of the Brannan Island State Recreation
Area.
Yesterday I visited Big Break Regional Shoreline. From the observation deck,
I spotted a large number of buffleheads and a good number of black-crowned
night herons.
