This morning I rode my bike downtown. I searched a number of creek areas
including by Civic Park, the library, south of Macy's and near Trader Joe's.
The only creek with a duck was next to Trader Joe's on California Boulevard.
The creek east of the street had 7 Mallards, but the creek west of the
street had a male Hooded Merganserand another Mallard.

While collecting the Audubon mail at the Locust Street Post Office, about a
dozen Cedar Waxwings left the trees there and flew more or less to the west.
There were also some Waxwings in a tree over the creek on the north side of
Lincoln, adjacent to the library construction site.
