We have a flock that regularly crosses over from the Carquinez Hill Park area to Crockett city streets: I've counted up to 10 in a group wandering the sidewalks and flying over a nearby house when disturbed.

We get a lot of wild turkeys in our neighborhood, up in the Hayward area
above Cal State. Last week, I counted 40+ on a hill near my home. They are
here all the time; we see them walking down the street, or on the hills in
    Garin park, almost daily.

A large flock previously frequented the U.C. Berkeley Smyth-Fernwald
housing complex, at Dwight and Hillside, and adjacent areas, but I
haven't seen or heard them around there for about a year.

P.S. I wondered why the responses to Phila's post were not appearing
on the list. Then when I replied myself I saw why that may be--my
reply was addressed to Phila, not the list. Is that the way things
    are supposed to work?
