Joel Goldman and I saw about 20 great tailed grackles, about 1/3 adult
males, in a parking lot on the road into Waterbird Park in Martinez
today around 11:30 AM. They were congregated around a taco truck and
enjoying scraps of food being offered by people in pickups eating lunch
in the lot. Suggest if you are interested in seeing the grackles, go
during lunchtime. Location is the intersection of Waterfront Rd and
    Waterbird Way.

We also had a good look at an Osprey kiting over the marsh at the same
location. We've never seen an osprey kiting, and at first assumed it
was a white tailed kite. We got a good look through or scopes and it
clearly was an osprey. Not much in the rest of waterbird park.
