Three of us did an eight mile loop hike in this beautiful park today and
encounted many birds on our trip some of which included.

Lots of American Goldfinches, Acorn Woodpeckers, Nuttall's Woodpecker, Red
Tail Hawks, TV's, Killdeer, Hermit Thrush, Loggerhead Shrike, Blackbirds,
Jays, California Towhee, Anna's Humingbirds, Kinglets, White-breasted
Nuthatch, Junco's, American Kestrel, Northern Mockingbird, Quail, White
    Tailed Kite.

But the highlight of the day other than the Loggerhead Shrike was a dog
being walked by someone not paying attention and a hungry Coyote out to take
advantage of it. But all turned out well for the dog as the person walking
the dog got to it before the Coyote did.
