The PALM WARBLER reported last week continues near the D'Anna Yacht Sales building at Portobello Marina (Oakland Inner Harbor). I found it easily and immediately in the pines near the marina flagpole where it was busily flying from pine to lawn to walkway, at one point giving chase to a yellow-rumped warbler.

At the Berkeley Pier this morning, a COMMON LOON was near the end of the pier.?Several ELEGANT TERNS were among a large group of FORSTER'S TERNS on the old pier (visible from the end of the pier).? Two or three RED-BREASTED NUTHATCHES and a female TOWNSEND'S WARBLER were in the pines near the Shorebird Park Nature Center.

Yesterday afternoon at Quarry Lakes Regional Park in Fremont a flock of about twenty AMERICAN PIPITS was at Encinal picnic area on the west side of Horseshoe Lake.
