[EBB Sightings] lake merritt local interest

Took a walk around the lake to stretch my legs this morning--first bird I
saw was the returning male TUFTED DUCK at the fountain by El Embarcadero.
Later I had the RING-NECKED DUCK at the duck-feeding area, giving me hope
that I could hit an Aythya grand slam. Unfortunately I couldn't turn up the
Redhead so I had to settle for 5 of 6 (TUDU, RNDU, plus greater and lesser
scaup, canvasback). Other good birds included a calling RED-SHOULDERED HAWK
by the bocce ball courts, a RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER in the garden area,
Townsend's and Orange-crowned Warblers..
