This morning around 8:30AM I refound the Red-naped Sapsucker at Lake del
Valle. The bird was in a oak tree about 30 yards from where I first found it
on 11/26. This bird looks good for a first fall bird and is lacking the
    black patch on the breast.
Driving towards the west side from the kiosk stop at the "narrow bridge"
sign on the right side. Climb the small bank along the road and walk
downhill across the open area about 50 yards. There's a large oak surrounded
by small pines. The bird was in the top branches until about 9:00AM.
    Good birding.
