[EBB Sightings] Fox Sparrows, Richmond

The storm seems to have brought in 2 fox sparrows to our feeder- these  
are first of season for us.  Golden-crowned sparrows showed up last  
week sometime.

The rain is strong enough today that some american goldfinches have  
been sheltering under the overhang of one of our hanging feeders.   
They are inches above the level of the food, just under the metal  
cap.  Never seen that before.  Many of the goldfinches are so  
bedraggled that plumage is of little use to rule out siskin (to be  
clear- I haven't seen a siskin yet this fall).

This is all near Wildcat Canyon Park, Richmond.
