Phila (and other EBB-ers.....)...I'm not sure of your budget, and I don't pretend to be a binocular-buying expert, but you might consider:

    1. Going to the web sites of

    betterviewdesired.com

    eagleoptics.com

The first one has great comparison/contrast features for optics.

The second is an outlet (for which I have no vested interest) in Middletown, WI that provides excellent customer service, including answering your questions to make your purchase a perfect fit.

My recent purchase of a Swarovski scope would have been done there, but the special ran out, so I got it elsewhere....and I mention the brand because the quick focus feature is helpful for RAPID hand eye coordination and immediate "snap-to"-like focusing ability because the focus know needs only a 1/4 to 1/2 revolution for the image to appear resolute.

If your budget is under $500 for binos, then I have a handout that I give folks with other options. Please back-channel me directly at my email #, above, and I'll share the info. with you with a return email to you, Phila.

    Regards, hope this helps.......Daniel

    >Greetings birders:
    >I'm looking for new binocs that might help with my 'funky' eyes and less-than-study grip. I first considered a Canon 10X with an image stabililizer but don't find it recommended anywhere (Cornell Labs). Any suggestions?
