On going today I've had up to three Band-tailed Pigeons in my bird bath.
I change seed type yesterday to the Priority SunFlower seed Brand.
Using Sunflower for the winter is probably drawing the Banded-tailed
    Pigeons in.
There is a Red-shouldered Hawk story also.
On September 2 in the early afternoon while entering my home through the
sliding glass door I notice a large bird in the bath.
I was thinking the local Coppers Hawk which has used the bath from time to
    time.
But is was a Red-shouldered Hawk.
I reported the bird during the Ohlone Audubon meeting and came home and
    failed to post it.
Red-shouldered Hawks frequent the Pleasanton -De Valle Creek riparian
    corridor.
    Birding is so much fun.

Birding is fun and educational + it gets us out and away from the TV remote!
