Bluebirds & Sharps-shinned at Sibley (Phil Cotty)

On Saturday, at Sibley Volcanic Regional Park at marker 4, a Sharp-shinned
Hawk scared up a mixed flock of about 12 Western Bluebirds and 15 American
Goldfinch. The hawk landed on a small tree. A few minutes later, one
Bluebird flew about 6 feet over the hawk and hovered 2-3 seconds as though
it was going to dive on and harass the raptor, but then it flew off. The
Sharpie flew in and out of our sight for about 30 minutes. We also saw the
flock of Bluebirds two weeks ago.
