    I was at Garretson today when this BLack-necked Stilt flew in and proceded to take some long leg stretches. Haven't seen that before. Don't try this at home!

    The high tides at Arrowhead on Wednesday and Thursday went pretty much unnoticed by birders. I think the recent rains increased the local tide there owing to San Leandro Creek flow from the recent downpours. It brought out the usual suspects.

    I'd recommend a trip to Garretson...nothing rare...just close and pleasant views of a variety of winter visitors.
